Part of the 8th Air Force, the 305th flew B-17 Flying Fortresses out of Chelveston, England (Station 105) after moving from their temporary base at Grafton Underwood. They flew 480 combat missions overall and over 174 of the Group's B-17's were shot down or destroyed with a loss of 787 valiant members.
Turquoise leather effect hardback with emblem on front cover and gold lettering on spine. Some suntanning/very light staining to front and rear endpapers but otherwise this is a very nice clean copy throughout. No jacket as published.
